Shine 4 Diversity internship
Last year, I spent six months doing a social media internship for an organisation called Shine 4 Diversity. During this time one of my main responsibilites was creating content for the organisations Instagram feed. 21 Days of Black Excellence
One of my biggest projects whilst working for the organisation was creating content for Black History Month in the UK. For this, I had to create and upload a post per day for 21 days celebrating people that represented black excellence. As the month went on, I also learnt how to animate posts using Canva to make them more attention grabbing on people’s feeds. This page shows some of the posts and the finished feed at the end of the month.
Black Pound Day
Another big post that I created for the organisation was based around Black Pound Day. For this I did some research and found a range of interesting British brands owned by Black entrepenuers and then created a post featuring my favourites. This page shows some of the images from the carousel post.
Inspirational quotes
In between big projects for Shine 4 Diversity, I also created some inspirational quotes that were posted on their feed to inspire and educate their audience. These had to be relevant to Shine 4 Diversity’s cause and fit with their colour scheme. This page shows a few examples of these.
